Susan Belesi
Director of Program and Member Relations
Bringing both personal and professional experience, Susan Belesi is dedicated to providing exceptional support for Parkinson Place members, caregivers, and families. Her journey with Parkinson’s began 16 years ago when her husband, Craig, then an Executive Vice President for a major construction management company, was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease. Seeking the best resources and care for Craig, they relocated from New York to Sarasota, where Parkinson Place offers over 60 ongoing classes, educational programs, events, and other free services each month.
In her role as Director of Program and Member Relations, Susan plays a key part in shaping the member experience. She is also instrumental in professionally designing educational and promotional materials for outreach, both in print and online. With a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the New York Institute of Technology, Susan has built a career spanning education, business, and the arts, bringing a well-rounded skill set to Parkinson Place.
A passionate advocate for the Parkinson’s community, Susan and her family have helped raise over $100,000 to support the search for a cure. Her commitment aligns seamlessly with Parkinson Place’s mission to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of those living with Parkinson’s disease.
